Daarom kijken wij continu naar trends, de invloed voor de sector en hoe wij hier als JEM-id mee omgaan. In komende updates nemen wij jullie o.a. mee in onze visie op verschillende trends, dit keer bespreken wij: ‘Digitalisering en data’.
De afgelopen jaren is er bij JEM-id hard gewerkt aan de voorbereidingen om van GreenCommerce een online applicatie te maken. De tijd is namelijk aangebroken voor een volgende stap voor GreenCommerce, in de vorm van GreenCommerce Apps. Onlangs is de pilot van start gegaan voor de Sales App en zijn de eerste testresultaten binnengekomen welke een positief verloop voorspellen voor de rest van het traject.
In the Q-release, an alteration will be made to the current Transporter-filter in the 'goods received' screen. In the new situation, purchase order lines will look at the transporter who will ultimately deliver the goods.

You have probably not missed the news about the Brexit. The United Kingdom (UK) left the European Union (EU) on January 31, 2020. This makes the UK, after the transition period, a so-called "third country". Just as for exports to other countries outside the European Union, it is likely that there will be more rules for exports to the UK. Do you have a lot of trade contact with the UK? The second quarterly release of 2020 is the Nectarine release. The release comes with a development for withdrawing usage of an order. This makes it possible to withdraw several lines of the order usage at once. An option has also been added to withdraw the total usage of an order.
Voor AGF bedrijven die te maken hebben met het keuren van producten en waarborgen van food safety, is er voor GreenCommerce gebruikers de keur-applicatie FreshTracker ontwikkeld. Met deze applicatie kunnen o.a. keurrapporten worden opgesteld en resultaten door de hele keten worden gedeeld zodat traceerbaarheid optimaal gewaarborgd kan worden.
We were visiting Euro West and had a nice chat with Stefan van Marrewijk. Within Euro West, Stefan is mainly concerned with food safety and certifications. He is also the person who is engaged in optimizing the use of GreenCommerce. Together with Bart Bellemans (operational manager) they are continuously looking at how processes / working methods can be improved so that they can stay ahead.
The Mango release also improves the process of scheduling purchase and sales orders for transport or shipment. Previously, it was already possible to choose to plan a line in an existing transport order when planning transport. To make this process faster and more user-friendly, we have made it clearer which transport order contained the other lines of the order. As a user you want to be able to see at a glance which transport order already contains purchase or sales order lines, so that the new line(s) can easily be added.
Recently, GreenCommerce user Timerfruit and Karsten Suiderland Logistics (KSL) have further professionalised the collaboration by digitally connecting each other's systems. In this way, both parties are able to exchange data about logistical processes such as expected goods, production and shipment fully automatically with each other, resulting in a major efficiency improvement. The real-time link between the two parties is established through the use of FreshBabel as a medium to exchange information with each other.
The Mango release contains a new development that optimizes the process of splitting off mixed pallets. When splitting off a mixed pallet, the original pallet with the pallet number will be retained in the new situation. So a new pallet with a new pallet number will be created for what you will eventually consume or ship. Just like when splitting off a "none-mixed pallet"!
The Mango release also comes with a logical improvement in the emailing of documents from GreenCommerce. As a follow-up to the standardization of GreenCommerce, we have now set up all screens where system documents could be e-mailed in the same way.
AGRO Merchants Westland and The Grape Hub recently exchanged digital messages with each other via FreshBabel Messenger. This link ensures that both companies no longer have administrative actions regarding the processing, receival, production and shipment of goods. Both companies are talking about a major breakthrough since the link went live.
The end of 2019 is in sight. That is why we want to look back one more time at a year in which great developments were made with the aim of making your work just that little bit easier.
For pick lists with the "shipment schedule" type, we have added a new function for creating or selecting active construction pallets. In addition, we added a new tab for fust to gain more insight during the repacking process.

The handling of customs will become a major challenge for fresh produce companies after a Brexit when trading with the United Kingdom (UK). That is why we have developed an integrated customs service connection, whereby customs declarations can be communicated to customs agents and transporters via one single button.
Recently, steps have been taken for collaborations between GreenCommerce and external warehouses. After the success of the digital message flow around orders and invoices, an internal logistics connection has now also been developed, in which many communication moments between the warehouse and operations are replaced by a digital message flow.

Those who retrieve the right data and know how to use it correctly, will find meaningful overviews that could lead to cost reductions and faster working methods. With help of the ‘Datawarehouse package’ or the new Lite-version of this package, GreenCommerce data will be clearly visualised in dashboards and reports. The connection to retailers often takes place through the exchange of EDI messages, whereby intermediaries are called in to make the translation to the format of retailers. These processes to set up EDI connections do not always run smoothly and can also cost a lot of money; that shouldn't be the only possible way ...
We think there is a great opportunity here to make the sales process more efficient. By making the price lists available online as an order form, orders can be placed immediately as soon as a buyer has entered the desired quantities.
Many companies in the fresh produce industry deal with different types of packaging/fust on a daily basis, such as packaging materials and pallets. The newly developed fust module in GreenCommerce ensures that both types of companies have full control over the entire packaging stock and the associated financial value.
You can work in two different ways within GreenCommerce when it comes to inspections and quality control. The first way is the inspection module with which a user directly enters inspection data into the system. The second way is to register inspection reports via FreshTracker inspection application and to retrieve the results from your own system. Users work via an app with which barcodes can be scanned, after which the registration of an inspection starts.
Work in warehouses is still often carried out using many paper lists. Changes in orders or productions are often difficult subjects and cause difficulties in mutual communication. It is time for us to look for improvements and a next step in digitization, specifically aimed at the processes that take place in warehouses.
The Courgette release brings several interesting developments specifically targeted at importers. For this release the focus has been on the registration as well as the logistic handling of containers.
