Expansion of the Excel import module: importing inventory orders
The Excel Import Module has recently been expanded with the ability to import production orders via Excel. This functionality is intended for production that is not linked to a sales order but still needs to be scheduled in bulk in advance. The enhancement is available to all current users of the module.
In addition to importing orders and invoices, this extension also enables the import of inventory orders via Excel. The import process works in the same way as for orders and invoices: navigate to Production → Import order templates to access the appropriate screen.
For order imports, each row in the Excel file creates one complete order. This means that all information required for an order must be provided within the same row.
The following data can be included per order:
- Item — code (internal/customer), EAN code, name (required)
- Production date (required), desired production end time
- Quantity (required), number of pallets, pallet factor
- Machine — code (internal/customer), name
- Location — code (internal/customer), GLN, name
- Pallet packaging — code (internal/customer), name
- Reservation group — code (internal/customer), name
- Customer — code (internal/customer), name (for handling orders)
- End customer — code (internal/customer), name
- Handling customer end customer — code (internal/customer), name
- Remark
- Reference
- Is handling
- Is transit
- Chain of custody required
- Indicative quantity
When a handling item is recognized together with a customer, the order is automatically converted into a handling order.
This enhancement will be included in the next release (Nutmeg). Interested in the possibilities of the Excel import module? Contact us at info@greencommerce.nl or call +31 (0)174 642 622.
