Timerfruit and Karsten Suiderland Logistics work more efficiently via FreshBabel Messenger

Timerfruit works with fresh produce software GreenCommerce

Recently, GreenCommerce user Timerfruit and Karsten Suiderland Logistics (KSL) have further professionalised the collaboration by digitally connecting each other's systems. In this way, both parties are able to exchange data about logistical processes such as expected goods, production and shipment fully automatically with each other, resulting in a major efficiency improvement. The real-time link between the two parties is established through the use of FreshBabel as a medium to exchange information with each other.

What does FreshBabel Messenger's logistics link do?
Fresh produce companies with an external warehouse have intensive contact in the field of logistics processes. Communication between both parties usually takes place by e-mail or by telephone and is therefore very time-consuming and error-prone. To provide solutions for the time-consuming and error-prone processes surrounding order entry and data processing on both sides, JEM-id has developed FreshBabel. FreshBabel offers a platform with which different systems can communicate with each other, without having to adjust the underlying systems accordingly. FreshBabel can be used for various processes that facilitate communication between partners. Timerfruit and Karsten Suiderland Logistics use the platform for communication about their logistics processes.

Timerfruit works with GreenCommerce and Karsten Suiderland Logistics works with the Warehouse Management System Boltrics. FreshBabel's logistics link is located between GreenCommerce and Boltrics, and takes care of the translation of the messages from and to the relevant software systems. Previously, both systems could only receive and process their own messages. As a result, a lot of manual administration was involved when messages were sent from Boltrics to another software system, such as GreenCommerce, and vice versa. By using the link at the right times, much of the administrative work is removed. In addition, in addition to the logistics data, associated invoices can also be shared digitally in the future. In this way, the communication process between client and service provider is completed and both parties experience a lot of benefits from the connections. Eric Bruckner and Tim Reincke of Timerfruit talk about an efficiency improvement in the logistics process: “We no longer need to retype important data. An additional advantage is that this means fewer mistakes are made."

Who is the FreshBabel Messenger logistics link for?
Do you work with GreenCommerce and do a lot of internal logistics operations, or do you have these carried out by a company that works with another software package? This includes inbound (expected goods), production (registering consumption) and outbound (shipment). Then the logistics link is a valuable addition. Within GreenCommerce there is support for both "client" and "contractor" roles, making the developments interesting for both types of players.
