More control for quality inspectors in managing order pickers

Developments for inventory selection have been added within the QC App. This gives quality inspectors more control over which goods should be picked for customer shipments. With this, we take another step toward seamlessly aligning with the workflows of fresh produce companies.

Previously, updates were made that enabled working based on dossiers and activities. With the new developments for stock selection in GreenCommerce, it becomes possible for fresh produce companies to prepare the right selection of a batch or pallet on the work floor. This makes it easier to guide order pickers more effectively. These updates are part of the Honeydew release.

Limiting the options for order pickers
Previously, order pickers could only be managed at batch level, making it difficult for service providers to accurately record client-specific instructions in GreenCommerce. Earlier expansions in GreenCommerce laid the foundation for pallet-level assignment.

With the latest developments, quality inspectors can now make selections for customer shipments at the (partial) pallet level. This approach shifts the responsibility to quality inspectors for selecting the right goods per final destination. By limiting the freedom of choice for order pickers and placing control in the hands of quality inspectors, there is greater oversight of the correct use of goods for each destination.

Changes in the QC App
When it is configured in GreenCommerce to work with sales requirements, the 'outgoing inspection' functionalities, which include inventory selection, can be used. When this functionality is enabled, a new item called 'Outgoing inspection' appears in the navigation of the QC App. When you click on an order, two tabs appear: 'To be inspected' and 'Completed', each containing additional information. These tabs show various orders to be inspected, including possible (customer-specific) points of attention. It is possible to assign specific pallets or batches by scanning the barcode or entering the pallet number.

Within inventory selection, it is possible to view the inspection report and add photos of the pallet/batch. Once the requested quantity has been assigned to the order, it is automatically moved to the Completed tab, after which it is ready to be picked by the order pickers.
