The new roadmap of GreenCommerce is live

GreenCommerce's new roadmap for 2022 is live. After a number of intensive brainstorming sessions, 4 themes have been formulated that will determine the focus for this year. These themes form the basis for developments that will be made or that will go live in 2022. The users not only gain insight into the developments that have already been made, but also get a glimpse of future developments and the associated period.

Each quarter focuses on one or more themes, in which developments will be made for that subject. This creates more clarity about the future of the fresh produce software package and users can better anticipate upon future developments.

Themes determine future developments
The roadmap consists of 4 themes that have a recurring role during the year. The themes: Quality Assurance, Service Providers, Infrastructure & Technology and Supply Chain Management form the basis for future GreenCommerce developments.

Within the Quality Assurance theme, various topics can be highlighted where interesting interfaces arise. Because there are different quality principles present in GreenCommerce, it should be easier for the users to get checked / audited for certifications such as Global GAP, IFS, BRC, SkAL, PlanetProof, QC, etc.

The subject of 'Service providers' is also one of the main themes on the agenda for 2022. Trends of scaling up and further specialization are expected to ensure that the service provider target group will grow, with specific focus on services being a differentiator of becomes companies. Companies will increasingly set up specific services (such as cooling, ripening, specialist types of packaging, etc.) and will have to ensure that customers can be served in a flexible manner.

Topics such as tracing and food safety are becoming increasingly important for fruit and vegetable companies. Hence the prominent role of the Supply Chain Management theme. New developments to provide insight into the availability of products, the possibility of signaling and forecasts will ensure that goods flows are organized efficiently.

The theme 'Infrastructure & Technology' highlights the technical background of the above subjects. To create new functionalities or perform updates, a piece of infrastructure and technology is crucial.
