FreshTracker transition to QC App - GreenCommerce

FreshTracker transition to GreenCommerce App

Gepost door  Jill van der Knaap   op  16 November 2021

GreenCommerce Apps is constantly expanding. Previously, the Sales and Purchase App came as an addition to your GreenCommerce windows application, with which purchase and sales orders are immediately visible via an app on your phone or tablet. The next step has been taken towards a new GreenCommerce App that focuses on quality management for fresh produce companies; the Quality Control (QC) App. The current FreshTracker App will be converted into a QC App, with at least the same functionalities as FreshTracker, but in a new and better format.

Roadmap: Last quarter 2021 and first quarter 2022
The theme of Q4 2021 and Q1 2022 of the roadmap is all about quality control. In addition to the developments for the processing of certifications and certificates, qualitative product inspections and quality checks, we have also started converting the current FreshTracker application into a QC App, connected to GreenCommerce Apps. The QC App takes over all functionalities that are already available in FreshTracker, but as a web application. The QC App will be further developed in the future to further optimize quality processes for fresh produce companies. Ultimately, the QC App will completely replace FreshTracker.

We are currently working on a technical renewal of functionalities, which makes it possible for the time being to use FreshTracker and the QC App at the same time. Inspection reports can then be viewed in both systems and can also be edited. With this we prepare FreshTracker for a full transition to the QC App, so that it will be an easy transition for users. This also makes it possible to start a pilot, in which a number of FreshTracker users can start testing with the QC App.

Benefits of the QC App

  • No need for an app store anymore
  • Error logging is more transparent because it is online instead of on your own phone. This allows us to offer good support, because we have better insight into the processes
  • Updates are faster and easier
  • The App offers possibilities for new wishes in the future
  • Future proof

Pilot

The first companies will soon start the test phase of the QC App. These are users who already use FreshTracker to record the inspection process of fruit and vegetable products.

Are you interested in the pilot but not yet asked to participate? Or are you curious about the progress? Please contact us for a short introduction.

FAQ

1. My company uses FreshTracker, will anything change for us?
“Not at first. FreshTracker will continue to work as usual. However, in the future we will no longer make any developments for FreshTracker, because we are slowly making the transition to the QC App.”

2. When can I start with the QC App?
“We will soon start with a pilot project. After the pilot, the QC App will soon be available to everyone who currently uses FreshTracker. We will start rolling out the QC App in the first quarter of 2022. At that time, you will be contacted for an explanation and support. Can't wait and would you like to participate in the pilot? Please contact us. ”

3. Are there financial consequences of the transition?
“FreshTracker is purchased on a subscription basis. This will also apply to the QC App. In addition, there will be more insight into the number of licenses. You can become the administrator of who is currently using it (there is an administrator in the identity server, who can switch users on and off for the Sales, Purchase, and QC App)."
