Cherry release | read the release notes - GreenCommerce

The first quarter of 2024 will kick off with a new, mandatory release: the Cherry release. This version contains several basic changes, such as in the invoicing because of developments in accounts receivable management. In addition, further development has been carried out on 'Task-driven process', the subject that also plays a major role in the roadmap for 2024. You can also expect additions to the Insights, Transport, Production and WMS App. Read all the release notes below:

A number of developments have been added in a module for the theme 'Task-driven working':

A new option has been added to the process for companies working with batch registration to release pick lists. It is optional to also physically print the picking list. This option prepares the processing of picking orders via the Transport App. When working with work instructions, the process of releasing shipment plans is slightly adjusted. Here it is now possible to generate work orders for shipment planning in one go. The work orders follow the data entered by order pickers, order picking locations and dock location.

A new option is to be able to group assignments in a group. A work order can then be created for a group of assignments that can be processed in the WMS App. This makes order picking for production a lot easier when working with many different orders or small/flexible quantities.

The functionality with which credit limits can be shared with relations within one relation group if one large limit has been phased out. The new developments for accounts receivable management offer new possibilities that go far beyond the old functionality. Do you use this functionality? Contact us for the possibilities.

The registration of insured amounts has been made company-specific for some time. Meaning it is recorded for each company which insurance there is with a relationship. For backwards compatibility, the insured amount of all companies is always stored redundantly, which is no longer the case with the C version. The property has been phased out and is no longer used.

From now on it is also possible to record a comment for credit insurance.

From the Cherry version onwards, the relationship and date are also recorded redundantly for credit insurance at company level. Historical data is automatically migrated to the new fields.

It has been made possible to indicate during a shipment plan how many pallets ultimately need to be shipped. Optionally, when planning for shipment, it can already be indicated how many pallets are expected, but this can also be entered by the warehouse manager as soon as this becomes known. The entered data is then communicated to the Apps (WMS and Insights) so that it is clear how many pallets are assigned to a shipment plan.

A new field in the shipment planning is the warehouse comment. This comment is used to display specific comments on the screens via the Insights App.

A new option is to release shipment schedules for the Insights App. This way you have control over which information is shown on which screens (timetable, docks).

Technical changes have been made to the invoicing module. Based on settings in Document Management, you can choose whether or not the reports go to the reporting API.

When registering pallets in the Production App, it is now possible to record the weight. Based on a setting in the machine in GreenCommerce, it is possible to force both a net and gross weight to be requested.

A new section has been added in the Transport App where incoming goods can be registered. This is available via the 'Receival' menu item. By clicking on the plus icon of an inbound line, the line can be reported or reset.

Last year we started converting various GreenXchange screens to updated versions. All screens have now been converted and the old screens have been disabled. This also applies to the part for crop protection.

A number of developments have been added for a module of the theme 'Task-driven working':

A new 'building format' component has been created to represent the construction for stacking packages on a load carrier. The building format is later used to determine how a build with a 2D shape can be composed on different types of pallets.

The print order option for the CMR in particular has been adjusted to 1-1-1, 2-2-2, 3-3-3, when printing multiple copies of one PDF.

A number of developments behind a module have been added for the theme 'Task-driven working':

The focus has been placed on managing employees in the warehouse more specifically. Order pickers continue to be controlled by means of a picking list, but via specific instructions, such as part of the shipment planning or sales order.

It has been made possible to create process control reports via templates. A separate role has been added for QA employees in the management of the Production App. Authorized users can create new reports from the 'Machine' menu item.

This is followed by a form in which various steps (mandatory) must be completed. Interim saving is possible.

A new module has been developed with which process control registrations can be activated. The module has added additional options that allow templates to be managed in the master data. The first functionality to create process control reports is also available for production orders.

The properties can be combined in templates to form an audit report. A column has been added in the command screen with which the progress of the process control can be added.

The 24-hour planning screen takes into account the working hours that are active within the company. Working hours can be managed per location via the Production App.

In the management environment of the Production App, insight into the planned breaks per machine has been created for each machine. In the planning, the breaks are indicated with a light red color but have no blocking effect during planning.

Task-driven process components

When organizing shipment schedules, the option has been added to split one shipment schedule into different work instructions. These work instructions can relate to making a mixed pallet or picking multiple pallets of one item. Via the [Lines to be shipped] tab you can select a number of lines and choose [Add work instruction]. This is followed by a form with a few smart functions, such as suggestions when putting together full/mixed pallets. As a result, work instructions are created that can ultimately be distributed to employees via work orders. The instructions consist of one or more lines, such as the item, a number and possibly a batch number. This is the information that must ultimately be forwarded to the WMS App.

In the WMS App, there is a toggle on the “Request pallet information” screen that switches between showing only active pallets, or including inactive pallets. Previously, this toggle was not remembered at the position it was set to. This has now been adjusted so that this toggle always remains at the last position.

Within an order in the Production App, on the [Consumption] tab, it is now possible to manage the item and batch reservation. A button has been added at the top to add a reservation. From this screen it is also possible to edit or delete a reservation. These functionalities are only available to users with the 'Planner' role.

The following options have been added to the invoice screen:

  • View invoice
  • Email invoice
  • Adjust number (provided the user has the 'Adjust invoice number' task)
  • Has been paid (provided the user has the 'Change payment status of invoices' task)
  • Partially paid (provided the user has the 'Change payment status of invoices' task)

The process of controlling the warehouse via the Insights App has been simplified because it is now possible to display shipment plans bundled on the screens. This means that the focus is more on the level of a shipment where multiple orders are shipped simultaneously.

When part of a code is entered, the system automatically suggests codes that start with the entered characters. A code can then be selected to choose it directly. Note: This functionality only works for the first code.

The [Inspection Registrations] tab on the batch card now only shows the inspection registrations that were made at batch level and no longer the inspection registrations that were made without on underlying pallets. If you click on the inspection registration, you can still see at the bottom which pallets the inspection registration relates to.

Based on a system parameter to be set, a sequence can be arranged in the desired charging references. In the event of changes, an attempt is made in the background to re-determine the shipment reference for relevant order lines.

When the driver checks in, it has been made possible to record a number of additional fields, for example the 'Expected shipment time' can now be indicated. In addition, it can also be indicated whether the freight has the correct temperature 'Temperature correct' and whether the driver is allowed to ship the final goods independently 'May ship independently'. The Insights App can indicate whether these fields should be shown on the dock or not.

In order to create a general working method for work instructions and work orders, the display of Number Assigned under the production order for consumption reservations has been aligned with the working method in, among other things, sales order lines. This means that a batch reservation is fully assigned and an item reservation is not. This is visible for the item reservation through a new column, NumberToBeAssigned.
